I am a structural microeconomist whose papers mainly involve the workings of the health markets and the urban/rural divide in the United States.

I am also an Affiliate Scholar at the Heller-Hurwicz Economics Institute (HHEI). I collaborate with HHEI on policy briefs and I am one of the mentors for the pilot Women in Economics program in collaboration with the Department of Economics at the University of Minnesota.

I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Minnesota. I obtained my Ph.D. under the supervision of Professor Tom Holmes and Professor Amil Petrin.

I previously worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis with Dr. James A. Schmitz, Jr., with whom I have projects on competition and the US housing market.

At the Board, I work in the Payment System Studies section within the division of Reserve Bank Operations and Payment Systems. For my policy work, I lead data collections and analyses and analyze industry trends in the debit card industry. If you are interested in the Regulation II surveys, please refer to the dedicated website on the survey reports and analyses. I also produce FEDS Papers and FEDS Notes on either my policy or research work. You can find my Board profile here.

You can find my latest policy brief with HHEI here. Since 2020, I have been serving as a mentor in the Women in Economics mentorship program, co-sponsored by HHEI and the Department of Economics of the University of Minnesota. If you want to find out more about the program, feel free to contact me.

I serve as a Director and Secretary to the Board on the Board of Directors of the FRB Federal Credit Union.
